at least, not for awhile.

i am super busy with other stuff and wont be recapping anything.
however, i have a couple of recommendations for youuuu! (:

i watched most of episode 1 (without subs) and really liked it (:
i MIGHT recap it.. but might just watch it.
have to wait and see if i still like it with subs.
i happen to love like the entire cast which makes it even easier to get in to.
kwon sang woo, song chang eui, yoona, and that actress whose name i dont know but i have seen her in other stuff (“full house” side girl ^^) and love her too♥.
cast is an important part for me so.. (:

(btw, i loved the scenes of kwon sang woo with kwon sang woo. omg. love him xD)

First, I want to thank everyone who read and commented on my recaps (:
i really had a lot of fun recapping this show and i loved reading everyones comments.
There were times when i wanted to give up on the show, but i kept going because of this blog and i am glad that i did.

1. my opinion of the ending
Although I am dissatisfied, I am okay with the ending and I don’t hate it. I just wish it had been a little different.

okay.
#1. what is the worst thing about my recaps?
too slow. yeah. i thought that would win, but i just wanted to see if my other issues were bothering people or not. its because the drama is so long that i got kind of bored in the middle and wanted to stop recapping… but instead i just left all my recaps until like sunday night. sorry about that.
(and thank you to v for the really sweet comment saying that nothing is wrong with my recaps xD)
#2. what should i do when eoe ends?
well. it ended lol.
i plan to recap something else but am really not sure what. i am watching boys over flowers but nothing else right now. i tried cain and abel and i didnt like it much- medical dramas arent really my thing. i think i will wait a bit and try some other dramas before choosing something. if you have any recommendations other than cain and abel for dramas that have recently started airing or will start soon, leave me a comment (:

yes, random. but i have some free time bc the episode didnt come out today and i had planned on recapping it this afternoon.
and i saw these pictures on soompi and totally exploded.
i really really miss the cuteness between dong chul and dong wook, but apparently song seung heon and yeon jung hoon are still totally adorable together in real life xD

Lee Da Hae replacement?

not entirely positive that this news is absolutely true, but since i have no reason to doubt it, i will share it with you all (:
its not a rumor- it is true. (thanks mrs. kim ^^)
we all know that lee da hae (min hye rin) is leaving the show. and there was some speculation about whether or not she would be replaced.
well… she is!
lee da hae will be replaced by pop singer/actress hwang jung eum.

i have never seen her act before, nor have i heard her sing. but! i have seen her on old variety shows. dont know if anyone else reading this has seen them, but on old variety shows like Xman and Love Letter, she was on them a lot. she had a fun personality.. so i dont know what she will be like in this drama.

Hi ^^
no episodes this week due to lots of year-end specials on tv.
meanwhile, the poll ended!
For “Who will dong chul end up with?”
Young ran got 77%
“someone else” got 18%
“no one” got 5%
i expected the “no one” choice to get more than “someone”. i think there is a (small) possibility of another female character coming in to the drama now that hye rin has left, but i can not actually believe that dong chul would end up with her at the end. as much as i want him to be with young ran, i think “no one” has a pretty good chance. this is, after all, a sad drama. no matter how you look at it, the other events have not really been setting us up for a happy ending.
if he ends up with young ran… something else will have to go horribly wrong because i really dont believe that a happy ending is possible in this drama.
(and hye rin used to be in the poll and was doing pretty well… until lee da hae decided to leave the drama.)
in other news, it is now 2009! it feels very unrealistic to me (: happy new year!!
and, lastly, we only have 14 more episodes! unless lola is correct and the show is going to be extended? does anyone know anything else about that?
i really hope it doesn’t get extended- from my experience drama extensions always turn the end into something draggy and weird. hopefully they can keep it to 50 like the original plan. 50 is already a lot of episodes.

MBC Awards Show

I decided this was worthy of posting because “East of Eden” totally owned the awards xD
almost everyone from the cast won something and they all looked amazing while doing it!
Song Seung Heon (Lee Dongchul) won the biggest prize ^^ i’m so proud of him!!
along with that, the actors that play shin tae hwan, president gook, chun hee, myung hun, young ran, dong wook, and even the child actors that played dong wook, dong chul, and ji hyun also received awards!!
im really happy for all of them, they totally deserved it. even more for being able to maintain such great acting throughout so so many episodes. maybe not every scene is amazing and maybe some of them weren’t very good at first, but i think that by now we can all see that the actors and actresses are each able to really portray their characters well.
i really appreciate all their hard work because together they have made a really enjoyable drama.
congratulations to all of them on their awards!
(but i have to add that i wish kimbum had won something for the time when he played teenage dongchul. i really liked him in that part.)

***a lot of people are hating on east of eden lately (and have been since it started) saying that it is ridiculous and song seung heon can’t act and other things like that. i have never felt that way (obviously) although i do sometimes have to admit that i have seen better dramas, better acting, etc. also, i know that a lot of people would say that mbc only gave all the awards to east of eden because it is their popular drama right now or whatever, but i definitely feel validated as an EoE fan now that the cast has won so many awards ^^
and its ENTERTAINMENT. sometimes insane plot lines and over the top acting are entertaining, and i am not ashamed to love east of eden♥

hi everybody ^^
i know this has nothing to do with East of Eden, so sorry.
but if any of you watch “Family Outing” you probably know what happened with FO Fansubs. they created a limited-members forum where only 50 users will be able to access their subtitles. this left a whole lot of fans outside without any subtitles. i personally was left out and am really sad to not be able to watch the show anymore as it was one of my favorite shows ever.
